What’s In The Chuck Wagon

Buying in bulk from the Chuck Wagon is a different way of buying meat with the advantage of making great savings.

The Chuck Wagon comes in three options.

      1. Half a Half (1/4 Beast)
      2. Side of Beef (1/2 Beast)
      3. Whole Beast

At our farm, we prioritize freshness and quality in every cut of beef. We process our orders once a week, ensuring that we only use as many beasts as you, our clients, have ordered for that week. This unique approach guarantees that your beef is freshly cut and ready for you to enjoy.

To secure your order, make sure to place it by Monday night, as we send out for processing on Tuesdays. Your beef will be ready for delivery at the end of the following week. Throughout the process, we’ll keep you informed about time frames, ensuring a transparent and enjoyable experience from purchase to delivery.   

 

The Jillaroo is a 10-11kg.
The Jackaroo is 15-16kg
While the boxes have set cuts there can be some variance in the weight and available cuts.

 

For Half/Half, Sides, and Wholes, we know the weights once the processors send us reports. At this stage, we update your invoice with the precise details, allowing you to make the balance payment before the scheduled delivery.

Once your order is placed you will receive an email with the Cut Sheet which you can choose how your would like your choice of cuts.

How Long Between Ordering and Delivery?

We process once a week, occasionally once a fortnight, depending on orders and capacity at the processors.  Our beef goes from our farm, to the processors, then to the butchers to be hung and cut into your chosen cuts, and finally transported via refrigerated courier directly to you.  From leaving our farm it will take approximately 2 weeks to be delivered to your door.

How is the meat packaged?

All of the meat is in portions of 2 or 500 & 1kg portions depending on the cut.  All meat is cryovaced to maintain freshness and prevent freezer burn.

How long will the meat last fresh in my fridge?

Some cuts will last up to 28 days fresh in your fridge.  We suggest you freeze the mince meat and sausages as these will last a little less.

How long will the meat last fresh in my freezer?

The meat will be ok for up to and over a year in your freezer.  The crovac packaging protects the meat from freezer burn.
